Ingredients
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Baking Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Powdered Sugar - 8.8 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 2 spoons
- Pastry decorations - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Divide the cold butter in half; rub one half with sugar, and melt the other half in the microwave and mix it into the resulting mixture. Add salt, baking powder, an egg, and sifted flour to this mixture. Knead the dough and let it rest for 30-40 minutes.
Step 2
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 4–5 mm. Use cookie cutters to cut out the future cookies from the dough.
Step 3
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it with butter. Place the cookies on the sheet and gently prick them with a fork to prevent puffing. Bake at 482°F for 7 minutes.
Step 4
For the glaze, separate the egg white from the yolk, mix it with powdered sugar, and stir well.
Step 5
And finally, the last step — apply the glaze to the cookies and sprinkle with toppings.
