Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 24.7 oz
- Ghee - 3.2 oz
- Kefir - 3 fl oz
- Sour Cream - 30 oz
- Sugar - 12.3 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ spoons
- Apricot Jam - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Melt the butter, add the kefir, 150 grams of sour cream, 100 grams of sugar, baking soda, and mix well.
Step 2
Sift the flour, pour in the oil mixture, and knead into a firm dough using your hands. Let it rest for 10–15 minutes, then knead again and divide into seven equal portions.
Step 3
Roll out the dough into circles about 2 mm thick and cook them one at a time in a well-heated skillet without oil over medium heat. Allow them to cool completely.
Step 4
Mix the sour cream and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved. It's better to do this by hand rather than using a mixer, as you might accidentally whip the sour cream and turn it into butter.
Step 5
You can trim the edges of the cake layers or leave them as they are if they are uniform. Spread a generous layer of sour cream frosting on each layer. Use the remaining frosting to cover the sides of the cake. You can decorate the cake with crumbs from the trimmed cake layers or your favorite jam.
