Description
No-Bake Cottage Cheese Dessert with Fruits
Ingredients
- Dry Curd - 22.9 oz
- Natural Yogurt - 3.5 oz
- Gelatin - 1.1 oz
- Honey - to taste
- Ground Cinnamon - to taste
- Vanilla extract - to taste
- Grapefruits - to taste
- Freshly squeezed orange juice - to taste
- Sponge Cake Base - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
If you couldn't find dry, lump-free cottage cheese, the first step will be to prepare the cottage cheese. Remove the liquid: strain it through a sieve to let all the liquid drain (if necessary, tap the sieve a bit to remove as much liquid as possible). Remove lumps: press the cottage cheese through the sieve.
Step 2
Mix the cottage cheese and yogurt until smooth.
Step 3
Add honey, vanilla, lime juice (or to your preference) to the mixture to taste.
Step 4
Prepare the gelatin (according to the instructions on the package). Soak it in a glass of water for 10 minutes. Over low heat, stirring constantly and without bringing it to a boil, wait until the gelatin completely dissolves in the water.
Step 5
Slowly pour the gelatin into the cottage cheese mixture and mix well. You will get a liquid mixture. Place your favorite fruits or berries at the bottom of the mold. Pour the resulting mixture over them and refrigerate for 1–2 hours (I decided to use a pre-made shortcrust pastry base, so I poured the slightly thickened mixture into this base and decorated it with fruits and a festive inscription. However, to keep the dessert light, it can also be made without it).
Step 6
When serving, you can garnish with syrup, a sprig of mint, and berries.
