Description
In this recipe, you can omit the bran and whole wheat flour if you want to make white bread. Just use 7.5 cups of all-purpose flour. Feel free to experiment with add-ins. Check the bread's readiness with a matchstick or toothpick; it should come out dry and clean.

- Kefir - 25 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 5 cups
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
- Bran - 3.5 oz
- Salt - 1½ teaspoons
- Sugar - 1½ teaspoons
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped almonds - 5.3 oz
- Olive Oil - 0 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients (except for the nuts) and add to the kefir.
Step 3
Thoroughly mix with a spoon and add the nuts.
Step 4
Continue kneading the dough by hand. The dough will be thick and slightly sticky.
Step 5
Thoroughly grease the baking paper with olive oil.
Step 6
Shape the dough into a round loaf, make cuts on top with a sharp knife, and sprinkle with flour.
Step 7
Place the bread in the oven and bake for 50 minutes.
