- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Butter - 4.8 oz
- Sugar - 4.2 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Condensed Milk - 1.8 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 2 teaspoons
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Nuts - 1.9 oz
- Vanilla salt - to taste
- Apple Wine - ½ tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar together until fluffy and light in color.
Step 2
Add the eggs one at a time, beating the mixture after each addition.
Step 3
Continue beating and pour in the condensed milk.
Step 4
Sift the flour with the baking powder and gently fold it into the butter mixture.
Step 5
Divide the batter into two parts. Add cocoa to one part and mix well with a mixer. To the second part, add the wine and nuts (set aside a tablespoon for sprinkling). Mix thoroughly.
Step 6
Layer the batter in the baking pan: first the chocolate batter, then the nut batter. I bake in a silicone loaf pan without greasing it. However, other pans should be greased with butter and dusted with flour.
Step 7
Sprinkle the top with nuts. Bake the cake at 320°F for about one and a half hours. Check for doneness with a toothpick: there should be no batter on it. Let the finished cake rest in the pan for about 5 minutes.
