Nut Cookies with Cardamom (Flourless)
Ingredients
- Nuts - 10.6 oz
- Egg - 1 piece
- Sugar - 2.5 oz
- Cardamom Pods - 5 pieces
- Ground Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
- Cocoa Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Powdered Sugar with Cinnamon - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Chop the nuts in a blender.
Step 2
Beat the egg with the sugar.
Step 3
Combine with the nuts.
Step 4
Add the spices and cocoa. I add the cardamom seeds whole. If you prefer not to have them in the finished cookies, it's better to grind them in a mortar. I do not recommend using ground cardamom as the effect is not the same.
Step 5
Form small balls from the dough.
Step 6
Roll them in powdered sugar. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the cookies for 15 minutes.
