Description
When calculating the amount of sugar, remember that milk chocolate and even dark chocolate (55% cocoa and above) contain enough sugar and fat. Dry milk can be successfully replaced with dry cream (or you can add a piece of soft butter - it will be quite 'rich' ;)
Ingredients
- Liquid dark chocolate - 6.7 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate - 2.5 oz
- Milk - 7 fl oz
- Dry Malted Milk Powder - 5.3 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 1.1 oz
- Chopped almonds - 7.1 oz
- Salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine the milk, dry milk, sugar, and salt, and stir while heating over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
Step 2
Melt the broken chocolate pieces in a double boiler, stirring throughout for even melting.
Step 3
Grind the dry nuts (it is preferable to pre-dry them on a baking sheet in the oven) into fine crumbs. Toasted sesame seeds, by the way, work just as well in the spread as hazelnuts (try using equal parts of both).
Step 4
Beating at medium speed, gradually combine the melted chocolate with the nuts and milk mixture. Beat until smooth and homogeneous, then distribute into jars and let cool. During the cooling process, the spread will thicken significantly.
