Oatmeal Cake with Bananas and Berries

Ingredients

  • Honey - 3 tablespoons
  • Bananas - 2 pieces
  • Milk - 7 fl oz
  • Oat flakes - 1 cup
  • Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Ground Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Egg white - 1 piece
  • Vanillin - 1 teaspoon
  • Powdered Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh Berries - 3.9 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 374°F. Line the baking dish with foil.

Step 2

Slice the bananas into rounds and place them in the dish, take half a cup of berries (fresh or frozen, to taste) and place them on top of the bananas. Sprinkle with cinnamon (1/3 teaspoon). Add 1 tablespoon of honey. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.

Step 3

In a bowl, mix the oat flakes, baking powder, and the remaining cinnamon. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, remaining honey, and vanillin.

Step 4

Remove the bananas with berries from the oven. Remove the foil and sprinkle with the oat mixture. Then pour the milk mixture over the oats, making sure it is evenly distributed. Top with the remaining berries (optional, nuts can also be added).

Step 5

Bake for 30–40 minutes (until golden brown).

Step 6

Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
