Description
You can use either dried or roasted hazelnuts, but do not use salted ones. Oat flour can be substituted with whole grain or wheat flour with bran.
Ingredients
- Oat flakes - 5.3 oz
- Ground Oats - 2.1 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Brown Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Butter - 4.2 oz
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Vanillin - 1 teaspoon
- Hazelnut - 2.8 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate - 1.8 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Take soft butter at room temperature and beat it with sugar and vanillin using a mixer until a fluffy homogeneous mass forms.
Step 3
Lightly beat the egg with a fork in a separate bowl, then add it to the butter mixture and beat again.
Step 4
In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, oats, baking powder, and salt.
Step 5
Combine the dry mixture with the butter mixture, mixing well.
Step 6
Chop the two types of chocolate into small squares. Add them to the resulting dough along with the hazelnuts, mixing evenly.
Step 7
Grease a baking sheet with soft butter. Place tablespoons of dough without mounding them a few centimeters apart (the dough will expand in size). Bake for about 10 minutes until the cookies are golden brown, for each batch of cookies.
Step 8
Once baked, let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes, then transfer them with a spatula to a rack to cool completely.
