You can add nuts, raisins, or candied fruits if desired. For those who do not like sweet oatmeal cookies, the amount of sugar can be reduced.
Ingredients
- Margarine - 5.3 oz
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Vanilla salt - to taste
- Wheat Flour - 4.4 oz
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Liquid dark chocolate - 3.5 oz
- Ground Oats - 7.1 oz
- Salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
Beat the softened margarine with sugar.
Step 3
Then add the egg and mix well.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, mix all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt).
Step 5
Carefully add them to the margarine with sugar and eggs. Almost immediately add the oats and finely chopped chocolate, otherwise, it will be very difficult to incorporate them into the mixture later. Mix everything well.
Step 6
Scoop the mixture onto the baking sheet using a teaspoon (1 teaspoon = 1 cookie). You don't need to press them down; they will take the right shape on their own.
Step 7
Place the baking sheet in the oven for 15–25 minutes, until the edges of the cookies turn golden.
Step 8
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool before serving. The cookies will reach the desired consistency.
