Description

This recipe is designed with healthy eating principles in mind. Traditional donuts, on the other hand, are made from yeast dough, so the flavors of these products will differ.

Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat Flour - 3.9 oz
  • Oat Flour - 1.4 oz
  • Baking Powder - 0.1 oz
  • Ground Cinnamon - to taste
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece
  • Brown Sugar - 1.8 oz
  • Butter - 2.1 oz
  • Apple - 2 pieces

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven (180°C, convection mode).

Step 2

Peel the apples, remove the core, and grate them on a fine grater.

Step 3

In a deep bowl, mix the dry ingredients: sifted flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, beat the egg with sugar, then add the melted butter.

Step 5

Combine the liquid mixture with the dry ingredients, add the apple puree, and knead the dough until it resembles pastry dough.

Step 6

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (or grease it with butter). Fill a piping bag with the dough and pipe it into ring shapes (donuts), leaving a couple of centimeters of space between them.

Step 7

Place the baking sheet with the future donuts in the oven for 20–23 minutes. Then cool and dust with powdered sugar.
