Description

The complete absence of flour and sugar in the batter will please health food lovers, and sweet milk chocolate can easily be replaced with dark 70% chocolate (or any other). Ingredients

  • Milk - 4 fl oz
  • Oat flakes - 4 fl oz
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece
  • Ground Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Liquid dark chocolate - 2.1 oz
  • Melted Cheese - 0.7 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Pour the flakes with hot milk, as you would when making instant oatmeal. Cover and let it sit for about 10–15 minutes.

Step 2

When the porridge cools slightly, add the (previously beaten with salt) egg, cinnamon, and butter, and mix well.

Step 3

On a dry, heated skillet, place small pancakes and cook over medium heat until golden brown (about 2–3 minutes on each side).

Step 4

Meanwhile, break the chocolate into pieces (usually, the bar is already divided into squares). Garnish each finished hot pancake with a piece of chocolate.

Step 5

Warm pancakes with slightly melted chocolate pair perfectly with black coffee (as a dessert) or can be served for breakfast (as an alternative to porridge).
