Ingredients
- Milk - 20 fl oz
- Ground Oats - 4.2 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Bananas - 1 piece
- Chopped almonds - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Cinnamon - a pinch
- Ground Nutmeg - a pinch
- Brown Sugar - 1.1 oz
- Orange zest - ½ teaspoon
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Add a pinch of salt, a pinch of cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Add the oats and cook, stirring, until thickened.
Step 2
Peel the banana and cut it into medium-thick rings.
Step 3
Heat a non-stick skillet over high heat, then reduce to low and add the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg, cooking while stirring until the sugar melts. Stir in the butter, zest, and maple syrup. Place the banana rings on the sauce surface and fry for 1 minute on each side. Add the walnuts to the sauce, mix, and remove from heat.
