Ingredients
- Ground Oats - 2.1 oz
- 3.2% Milk - 10 fl oz
- Maple syrup - 3 tablespoons
- Ground Cinnamon - a pinch
- Ground Nutmeg - a pinch
- Carrot - 2 pieces
- Grated Ginger Root - ¼ teaspoon
- Beans - ½ piece
- Chopped almonds - to taste
- Semi-soft cream cheese - 1.2 oz
- Light Raisins, Seedless - 1 tablespoon
- Vanilla extract - ¼ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour the milk into a saucepan and place it over medium heat. Add the ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup. Stir well. Bring the milk to a boil, then add the rolled oats, grated carrots, and previously soaked raisins, cooking while stirring until the desired thickness is reached. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for a couple of minutes.
Step 2
Peel the banana, mash it with a fork into a puree, and mix it into the oatmeal.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Step 4
Serve the oatmeal hot with a scoop of cream cheese and toasted walnuts or pecans.
