Description
Orange Biscotti with White Chocolate
Ingredients
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Sugar - ½ cup
- Activated Baking Soda - 1½ tablespoons
- Oranges - 1 piece
- Oat flakes - ¼ cup
- White Chocolate - ½ piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven; grease and flour a baking sheet. Mix 2 teaspoons of orange zest with 1 tablespoon of sugar.
Step 2
In another bowl, beat the softened butter with the remaining sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, orange juice, remaining zest, baking soda, and ½ of the flour. Mix well and gradually add the remaining flour while continuing to knead. Then add the grated chocolate and knead the dough.
Step 3
Divide the dough into 2 equal parts and shape into 2 logs about 1.8 cm thick and approximately 30 cm long. Place them on the baking sheet about 6 cm apart, sprinkle with the orange zest and sugar mixture, and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. Then turn off the oven and let the logs cool at room temperature for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Using a sharp knife, slice the logs and place them back in the oven to dry for 15-20 minutes, then cool on a wire rack.
