Description
Orange Cake with Raisins
Ingredients
- Oranges - 1 piece
- Chocolate eggs - 3 pieces
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Wheat Flour - ½ cup
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Vanillin - a pinch
- Raisins - 6.7 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the whole orange (with peel) in a small saucepan with water, bring to a boil, cook for 5 minutes, remove from heat, drain the water, and let the orange cool slightly.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Grease the baking pan with oil and line it with parchment paper. Beat the eggs with sugar until a white fluffy mass forms (about 10 minutes). Then gently fold in the sifted flour, baking powder, and vanillin.
Step 3
Cut the orange into 6 pieces and blend it until smooth. Incorporate the orange puree into the batter.
Step 4
Dry the raisins, coat them in flour, and add them to the batter last.
Step 5
Pour the batter into the pan and place it in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely on a rack, and you can dust it with powdered sugar before serving.
