Orange Cookies with Dried Cranberries

Ingredients

  • Butter - 4.4 oz
  • Sugar - 2.6 oz
  • Oranges - 1 piece
  • Wheat Flour - 7.9 oz
  • Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried cranberries with sugar - 2.8 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Grate the zest from one orange. Squeeze out the juice.

Step 2

Beat the butter with sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 3

Add the zest and 3 tablespoons of juice. Mix well.

Step 4

Add the cranberries. Stir to combine.

Step 5

Add the flour mixed with baking powder and knead the dough. The dough should be uniform, soft, not sticky to the hands, and pleasant to work with.

Step 6

Form balls (I made each about 30 g), slightly flatten them, and place them on a baking sheet spaced apart.

Step 7

Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 15–20 minutes, until the cookies are light golden. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes. Transfer them from the baking sheet and allow to cool completely.
