Description

For variety, you can use the same amount of mascarpone cheese instead of cottage cheese, but then do not use gelatin.

Ingredients

  • Gelatin - 0.3 oz
  • Oranges - 2 pieces
  • Cottage cheese - 17.6 oz
  • Sour Cream - 5.3 oz
  • Orange bitters - 4 tablespoons
  • Powdered Sugar - 5 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Wash the oranges thoroughly under running hot water, then dry them. Peel the zest from one orange using a special knife that cuts it into thin strips. From the other orange, use a vegetable peeler to remove the thin skin. After that, squeeze the juice from both fruits.

Step 2

Soak the gelatin in cold water. After 5 minutes, it will be ready to use for the dish.

Step 3

Mix the cottage cheese with the orange juice, sour cream, liqueur, and powdered sugar. Add the thin strips of orange zest, and set aside the larger pieces of peel for garnishing the dish.

Step 4

Place the gelatin in a small saucepan and melt it over low heat. Then cool it and incorporate it into the prepared orange cream.

Step 5

Transfer the orange cream into individual dessert containers or one large container. Refrigerate for at least three hours. Before serving, garnish the dish with the remaining orange peel.
