Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 0,3 glasses
- Oranges - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 2 glasses
- Baking Powder - 1½ spoons
- Salt - a pinch
- Activated Baking Soda - 2 spoons
- Sugar - 1½ glasses
- Chicken Egg - 4 pieces
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Lightly grease a round baking pan (about 23 cm in diameter) with butter.
Step 2
Using a sharp knife, cut off the top and bottom of the oranges and slice them into small pieces. Transfer to a blender and blend until almost pureed, leaving some texture. Add olive oil and blend again.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 4
In another bowl, beat the eggs well and gradually add the sugar. Then, fold in the orange mixture and flour in batches. Do not beat too long, or the cake will turn out very dense.
Step 5
Transfer the dough to a baking dish and bake for 50-60 minutes until cooked through. Allow to cool, dust with powdered sugar, cut into segments, and serve.
