Description
Orange-Pomegranate Marmalade
Ingredients
- Sugar - 11.6 oz
- Oranges - 3 pieces
- Pomegranate Seeds - 1½ pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the oranges. Cut them in half lengthwise, and then slice each half into very thin wedges. Place them in a bowl, cover with a liter of drinking water, and refrigerate overnight.
Step 2
In a non-metallic pot, place the oranges, pour in the water they were soaked in, and add the juice squeezed from one pomegranate. Add sugar and bring to a boil over high heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then, reduce the heat and cook the marmalade, stirring occasionally, until it thickens. This should take about one hour and forty minutes. Remove from heat and stir in half a cup of pomegranate seeds. Pour into jars and cool to room temperature. The marmalade can be stored in the refrigerator for two weeks.
