Description
Important! A few simple rules to follow when collecting clover: carefully pick (or cut) only the flower heads; don't collect more than half of the total number of plants in the meadow to avoid disrupting biodiversity; pay attention to ensure the flowers look fresh and healthy — they should be vibrant in color, free from insect eggs, and preferably without dried brown heads. Note that clover should not be consumed by pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 5 tablespoons
- Rye Flour - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Seasoning - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 2 teaspoons
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Walnuts - 5 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour hot water over the clover and let it steep for three minutes.
Step 2
In the meantime, mix all the dry ingredients for the batter, add the wet ingredients, and stir until thick consistency is achieved. Leave the batter in a cool place for 5-10 minutes.
Step 3
Drain the water from the clover, shake off excess water, and add it to the batter. Gently mix to avoid tearing the flowers.
Step 4
Heat a skillet over medium heat, pour the batter onto it, and spread it out to form a pancake. Cook covered on low heat for 5-7 minutes on each side.
Step 5
Garnish with sliced tomato and walnuts (the walnuts can be soaked for a few hours beforehand).
Step 6
Serve as a standalone dish or with a side. Best enjoyed outdoors! :) Bon appétit!
