Description
Using activated baking soda is a must! First of all, the taste of the pancakes is completely different, with a unique twist, so to speak. Secondly, it adds fluffiness and makes frying easier, and thirdly, it makes a funny hissing sound.
Ingredients
- Onion - ½ head
- Safflower Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Kefir - 8 fl oz
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Water - 16 fl oz
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Butter - to taste
- Wheat Flour - 12.7 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the eggs, milk, kefir, water, and salt well, gradually adding the flour.
Step 2
Add sunflower (vegetable) oil and the activated baking soda (vinegar can be apple, 5–9%) to the mixture.
Step 3
Next, adjust as needed. If the batter is too thick, dilute it with water; if it's too thin, add flour.
Step 4
Pierce half an onion with a fork, dip it in sunflower oil, and grease the hot frying pan. This should be done approximately after each pancake is cooked (hopefully not a mess).
Step 5
Spread butter on the finished pancakes.
