Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 4 tablespoons
- Vanilla salt - 0.4 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Milk - 25 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 6 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 5 tablespoons
- Poppy seed paste - 7.1 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 2.6 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the pancakes. In a deep bowl, break the eggs, whisk them with 1 tablespoon of sugar and a pinch of salt.
Step 2
Pour about 450 ml of milk into the eggs (it's better to have a little extra milk on hand in case you need to thin out the batter). Whisk well.
Step 3
Add all the flour. Whisk again. Gradually pour in another 150 ml of milk (you can use less if the batter consistency is to your liking).
Step 4
Add 4 tablespoons of sunflower oil to the batter. Mix well.
Step 5
In a well-heated and oiled frying pan, cook the pancakes. Brush each pancake with butter.
Step 6
When the pancakes are ready, prepare the filling. Grind the poppy seeds that were previously soaked in boiling water in a mortar (or, like I do, blend them in a blender or coffee grinder).
Step 7
Add 2 tablespoons of sugar, vanilla sugar, and 100 ml of milk to the poppy seeds (it's better to add the milk in portions to control the filling's thickness). Heat the poppy seeds over low heat, stirring constantly.
Step 8
When the filling is ready, wrap it in the pancakes in any convenient/preferred way.
Step 9
For the homemade chocolate, in a small saucepan, mix 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 25 grams of butter. Pour in 3 tablespoons of milk.
Step 10
Place the mixture on the heat, bring to a boil, and cook the chocolate for a couple of minutes. Stir the chocolate constantly! It should be smooth and glossy.
Step 11
Serve the pancakes drizzled with hot chocolate.
