Description
Panna Cotta with Fruit Sauce
Ingredients
- 10% cream - 10 fl oz
- Milk - 3 fl oz
- Sugar - 2.1 oz
- White Beans - to taste
- Gelatin - 0.3 oz
- Cherry - 5.3 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour the cream and milk into a small saucepan and add the sugar. Split the vanilla bean in half and scrape out the seeds. Place the bean along with the seeds into the saucepan with the cream.
Step 2
Stir the cream and heat to about 194°F over low heat (almost to boiling). Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the cream sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the vanilla flavor.
Step 3
Remove the vanilla bean from the cream. Soak the gelatin sheets in a bowl of cold water for 10 minutes (or according to the manufacturer's instructions).
Step 4
Squeeze the swollen gelatin well and add it to the flavored cream. Stir and ensure that the gelatin is completely dissolved. Pour the dessert into molds and refrigerate for 8 hours.
Step 5
Heat the cherries with powdered sugar in a saucepan until you achieve the desired sauce consistency.
