Pastry in Chocolate Glaze
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 6 oz
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 0.1 teaspoons
- Butter - 5 oz
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Vanilla extract - 2 teaspoons
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Cocoa Powder - 1.6 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 16.9 oz
- Apricot Jam - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a bowl, mix 170 g of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/8 teaspoon of salt.
Step 2
Beat 113 g of butter and 150 g of sugar with a mixer for 3 minutes. Then add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Step 3
Incorporate part of the flour mixture, then 120 ml of milk, and again the flour mixture. Knead until a smooth batter without lumps forms.
Step 4
Divide the batter into 2 parts and bake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 320°F. Slightly cool the finished sponge in the pan, then remove and let cool completely.
Step 5
For the glaze, mix 30 g of butter and 120 ml of milk. Heat until the butter melts.
Step 6
Remove from heat, add vanilla, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder. Stir until smooth.
Step 7
Place the glaze over a water bath.
Step 8
Spread jam on the layers, stack them together. Drizzle with glaze.
Step 9
Optionally, you can decorate with coconut flakes.
