Description
Peach Millefeuille
Ingredients
- Phyllo Dough - 4 pieces
- Raw cane sugar - 1.8 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Donut Peaches - 4 pieces
- Semi-soft cream cheese - 6.3 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 2.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F.
Step 2
Grease the baking paper with a small amount of oil.
Step 3
Cut 4 sheets of phyllo dough into 12 rectangles and lightly brush them with oil. Place them on the baking paper and bake in the oven for 4 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. The dough should be golden and crispy.
Step 4
Peel the peaches, remove the pits, and slice them into wedges.
Step 5
In a deep bowl, mix the peaches, sugar, and vanilla extract. Heat a skillet, add the peaches along with all the sugar and juice, and simmer over medium heat until the sugar melts and turns into a thick syrup. Remove from heat.
Step 6
In a blender, mix the fat-free cream cheese with the powdered sugar. Transfer to a bowl until ready to use.
Step 7
Assemble all layers of the millefeuille together. To do this, stack 4 rectangles of dough on top of each other, add a layer of the cream, then several peach slices, and again 4 rectangles of dough. Repeat to make 5 more millefeuilles. Top with the remaining powdered sugar and serve.
