Pear and Cranberry Crumble
Ingredients
- Pears - 6 pieces
- Dried cranberries with sugar - 5.6 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 0.6 cups
- Wheat Flour - ½ cup
- Butter - 4.2 oz
- Brown Sugar - ¼ cup
- Ground Cinnamon - ¼ teaspoon
- Ground Oats - 1 cup
- Salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 392°F.
Step 2
Peel the pears and remove the cores, then cut them into small pieces — you should have about 6 cups. Transfer to a bowl and add lemon juice, cranberries, and ⅓ cup of white sugar. Mix well.
Step 3
Transfer the pear and cranberry mixture into 6 heatproof ramekins.
Step 4
For the topping, mix the flour and chopped butter in a food processor. Blend until crumbly. Then add the remaining white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, oats, and a pinch of salt. Mix again. Sprinkle the mixture over the pears.
Step 5
Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool for 30 minutes and serve with vanilla ice cream.
