Description
Easy to make, it turns out very sweet and hearty! Source: "Gourmet School" November 2009.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 4.9 oz
- Butter - 6.2 oz
- Sugar - 4.9 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Pears - 6 pieces
- Walnuts - 3.5 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate - 1.8 oz
- Apricot Jam - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a dry hot skillet, toast the walnuts, stirring constantly, for 6 minutes. Let cool, then transfer to a blender and grind into flour.
Step 2
Sift the flour, cut the butter into small pieces. Add the flour, butter, sugar, and eggs to the walnuts. Beat until a dough forms. Transfer the dough to a bowl.
Step 3
Peel three pears, cut them into small pieces, removing the core. Chop the chocolate with a knife into crumbs or grate it on a coarse grater.
Step 4
Add the pears and chocolate to the dough, mixing gently. Wash the remaining pears and carefully slice them into thin longitudinal pieces.
Step 5
Grease a springform baking pan with vegetable oil, place the dough in it. Use a spatula or silicone scraper to smooth the surface. Arrange the sliced pears in a circle on top of the dough, with the narrow part facing the center, slightly overlapping the slices. Gently press down with your hand.
Step 6
Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for 1 hour. Remove from the oven, cover with a towel, and let sit in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove the pan. Place the pie on a rack to cool.
Step 7
Transfer the apricot jam to a bowl, heat it in the microwave. Spread the jam over the top of the pie and serve immediately.
