Description
Do not freeze too hard — the sherbet should be soft.
Ingredients
- Red Grape Juice - 1 cup
- Sugar - ¾ cup
- Bartlett Pear - 17.6 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 2 tablespoons
- Coarse Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the pears and remove the cores, then cut them into small pieces — you should have about 2 cups.
Step 2
In a saucepan, bring the wine, 1 ¼ cups of water, and sugar to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Add the pears and cook until soft, about 5–10 minutes.
Step 3
Add the lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Stir and chill well.
Step 4
Then blend in batches until smooth and transfer to a container. Place in the freezer until set, stirring every 45 minutes.
