Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and let it cool slightly.

Using a small spoon, remove the core from the bottom of the pear, leaving the stem intact.

Step 3

Holding by the stem, dip the pear into the chocolate three-quarters of the way and place it on a plate lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for 15 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
