Ingredients
- Pears - 4 pieces
- Sugar - 3 tablespoons
- Star anise - 3 pieces
- Grated Ginger Root - ½ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the pears and cut off the bottom so they can stand upright.
Step 2
Pour water into a pot so that it can completely cover the pears.
Step 3
Place the pot on the heat, add sugar. Add the pears and let them boil.
Step 4
While the pears are boiling, place the star anise in a mortar and grind it, then add the ginger.
Step 5
After about 8 minutes, check if the pears are ready by piercing them with a knife; if the knife goes in easily, they are done.
Step 6
Arrange beautifully on a plate and sprinkle with anise powder.
Step 7
Can be served with ice cream.
