Ingredients
- Phyllo Dough - 10 pieces
- Brie cheese - 7.1 oz
- Black Currant Jam - 4.8 oz
- Butter - 4.4 oz
- Chicken Egg - 4 pieces
- Milk - 4 fl oz
- 33% Cream - 4 fl oz
- Thyme - 2 sprigs
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Remove the phyllo dough from the freezer.
Step 2
Melt the butter and grease the baking tray with it.
Step 3
Place 1 sheet of dough on a clean work surface. Cover the remaining sheets with a clean, dry kitchen towel, followed by a damp kitchen towel.
Step 4
Brush the first sheet of pastry with a small amount of melted butter. Fold it accordion-style and transfer it to a baking tray. The folds don't have to be perfect.
Step 5
Repeat the same process with the remaining sheets of dough until the bottom of the dish is covered.
Step 6
Slice the Brie cheese into 5–7 mm thick pieces. Place them into the folds of the dough.
Step 7
Place dollops of lingonberry jam in separate areas.
Step 8
Beat the eggs, milk, and cream together. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the mixture over the pie and sprinkle with thyme leaves.
Step 9
Bake at 356°F for 25 minutes or until golden brown. It is recommended to use the convection mode.
Step 10
Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
