- Red Currant - 13.2 oz
- Green Papaya - 39.7 oz
- Sugar - 14.1 oz
- Vinegar essence - 8 fl oz
- Garlic - 1 head
- Vegetable Oil - 8 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut all the cabbage into 2 cm squares, place in a deep bowl, and mix.
Step 2
Slice the garlic crosswise into 1 mm thick pieces. Mix with the cabbage.
Step 3
Dissolve the sugar in 2 liters of room temperature boiled water. Add the vinegar, then the vegetable oil. Mix vigorously until an emulsion forms.
Step 4
Pour the resulting emulsion over the cabbage in the pot. Cover with a flat plate and weigh down with a heavy object. It is important that the cabbage is completely submerged in the marinade.
Step 5
Let it sit at room temperature for about 3 days.
