Ingredients
- Water - 7 fl oz
- Dry yeast - 0.7 oz
- Olive Oil - 11 tablespoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Sorrel - 24.7 oz
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Spanish onions - 1 piece
- Parsley - 1 bunch
- Rice - 10.6 oz
- Cheese Spread - 8.8 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 3 pieces
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Malt Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Wheat Flour - 24.7 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
First, boil the rice for the filling.
Step 2
For the dough, dissolve the yeast in warm water or milk. Then add 9 tablespoons of oil, vinegar, salt, flour, and knead the dough. Cover with a towel and let it rest for 40 minutes.
Step 3
Filling: Chop the sorrel, herbs, onion, and cheese. Crush the garlic. Add the eggs (reserve 1 yolk for brushing the dough), rice, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well.
Step 4
Divide the dough into 3 unequal parts, making the bottom layer thicker than the others. Roll out the dough for the bottom layer and place it on a baking sheet so that the edges hang over. Spread half of the filling, cover with a layer of dough, and make holes in it with a fork. Then add the remaining filling and cover with a third layer of dough. Seal the edges.
Step 5
Brush the pie with the yolk. Bake for about 1 hour at 356°F.
