- Margarine - 5.3 oz
- Brown Sugar - 2.8 oz
- Dark rice syrup - 7.1 oz
- Ground Cinnamon - 2 teaspoons
- Ground clove - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger - 2 teaspoons
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Orange juice concentrate - 0 fl oz
- Orange zest - 1 piece
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 24.7 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 2 teaspoons
- Cardamom - 2 teaspoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat the margarine, sugar, and syrup until boiling.
Step 2
Add the spices, salt, orange juice, and orange zest.
Step 3
Stir until smooth and let cool for about 20 minutes.
Step 4
Crack the eggs into the mixture.
Step 5
Sift the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
Step 6
Mix with the warm part of the dough.
Step 7
If necessary, add more flour.
Step 8
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours to chill well. It can be stored for a few days if you don't want to bake immediately.
Step 9
Remove the dough and roll it out to a thickness of 5 mm.
Step 10
Cut out shapes with cookie cutters or cut into squares or triangles.
Step 11
Place the shapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 7-10 minutes.

Once baked, cover the piparkoogid with icing and let it harden.
