Description
Pirozhki-Kurniki
Ingredients
- Sour Cream - 7.1 oz
- Margarine - 8.8 oz
- Wheat Flour - 14.1 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Salad Potatoes - 2 pieces
- Chicken fillet - 28.2 oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Butter - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Add baking soda and salt to the sour cream. Mix the sour cream with softened margarine. Gradually add flour until the dough is elastic, like playdough, and does not stick to your hands. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes. Cut the chicken breast into small pieces.
Step 2
Dice the potatoes into small cubes. Add them to the chicken pieces. Dice the onion into small cubes. Add it to the filling. Mix the filling well and season with salt and pepper. Take small portions of dough and shape them into palm-sized pancakes. Place the filling inside. Fold into a semi-closed basket shape, pinching the edges (leave an opening in the center). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper greased with vegetable oil. Place the prepared kurniki on the paper.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 428°F and bake the kurniki for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
