Description
Nut dessert praline
Ingredients
- Sugar - 2 cups
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Pistachios - 10.6 oz
- Water - ¼ cup
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour a little oil onto the baking sheet where the praline will be prepared. Line with parchment paper, leaving some paper hanging over the edges of the baking sheet.
Step 2
Bring sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat, swirling the pan to avoid crystallization. Then boil without stirring for 10-12 minutes, until the syrup turns amber. Crush the raw pistachios.
Step 3
Remove from heat and mix with the crushed pistachios and salt. Pour the syrup onto the prepared baking sheet and quickly spread it over the entire surface with a spatula.
Step 4
Allow the mixture to cool until it sets but is still soft, about 2 minutes. Use the parchment to transfer the set praline to a cutting board. Then cut it into pieces of desired size using an oiled knife. Let the praline cool. Serve chilled.
