If you don't have pitas, you can use regular chips. Serve with rosé wine.

Ingredients

  • Beans - 52.9 oz
  • Frozen green bean pods - 3.5 oz
  • Yogurt powder - 3 tablespoons
  • Lemon - 1 piece
  • Fresh Mint - 0.7 oz
  • Pita - 6 pieces
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Shell 1500 g of beans. You can also use pre-shelled frozen beans, about 750 g will be needed. Place the shelled beans in salted boiling water and cook for 4 minutes, adding 100 g of frozen green peas for the last 2 minutes.

Step 2

Drain, rinse the beans under cold running water, and remove their skins.

Step 3

In a food processor, blend the beans and peas into a smooth puree. Add 3 tablespoons of natural yogurt and the juice of 1 lemon, mixing well. Then finely chop the mint and add it to the puree. Transfer to a serving dish.

Step 4

Preheat the grill. Open the middle of the 6 pitas and place them on the grill, toasting each flatbread for 1 minute on each side. Then remove, allow the flatbreads to cool, and cut them into small pieces. Serve the pita pieces with a spoonful of bean dip.
