Plum and Grape Pie
Ingredients
- Plums - 2 lbs
- Grapefruits - 2 lbs
- Sugar - 2 cups
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
- Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
- Salt - a pinch
- Activated Baking Soda - a pinch
- Port Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Powdered Sugar - a pinch
- Vinegar essence - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash and dry the plums.
Step 2
Wash and dry the grapes.
Step 3
Remove the pits from the plums and slice them.
Step 4
Cut the grapes in half and remove the seeds.
Step 5
In a bowl, combine sugar and flour.
Step 6
Add the eggs to the flour and sugar mixture and mix thoroughly. Add salt and the vinegar-dissolved baking soda to the batter.
Step 7
Pour half of the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 8
Arrange the plum slices on top of the batter.
Step 9
Place the grapes on top of the plums and pour the remaining batter over them.
Step 10
Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 1 hour. Remove from the oven and let cool. Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with berry sauce before serving.
