Plum-Apple Jam
Ingredients
- Plums - 2 lbs
- Sugar - 21.2 oz
- Apple - 2 lbs
- Citric Acid - ½ teaspoon
- Water - 3 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the apples and plums. Cut the plums in half and remove the pits and stems. Remove the seeds from the apples and slice them.
Step 2
Cook the fruits for about 10 minutes until they soften, then mash through a sieve (I usually puree them in a blender first).
Step 3
Cook the pureed mixture for another 15 minutes, add citric acid, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 4
Pour the plum and apple jam into jars and seal.
