Description
Grease a baking pan with a diameter of at least 10 inches or a 20×12 inch baking sheet with butter and dust with flour, or line with parchment paper.

- Sugar - 4.6 oz
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Dry White Wine - 4 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 5.3 oz
- Ground Almonds - 1.8 oz
- Cardamom - 5 pieces
- Baking Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Citrus Zest Mix - 1 piece
- Plums - 4 pieces
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Powdered Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Boiling water - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Remove the cardamom seeds from the pods and grind them well in a mortar. Cut the plums into wedges, removing the pits.
Step 2
Beat the sugar with softened butter, cardamom, and zest at high speed using a mixer.
Step 3
Add one room temperature egg at a time, mixing well after each addition until you achieve a creamy, thick consistency.
Step 4
Add the almonds and mix on medium speed.
Step 5
Add the flour, baking powder, pour in the wine, and mix until a dough forms.
Step 6
Place the dough in a baking dish (or on a baking sheet), and arrange the plums on top, pressing them firmly into the dough.
Step 7
Bake for 45–60 minutes, then remove and cool in the pan or on a baking sheet.
Step 8
For the glaze, mix honey, powdered sugar, and boiling water, then pour it over the still-warm cake.
