Description
There are so many recipes for poached eggs online, and I want to try them all. But to avoid swirling the eggs around in a pot, I found a simpler method, in my opinion. Plastic wrap! I hope this cooking method will be useful not just for me.
Ingredients
- Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
- Olive Oil - 1 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
We will need plastic wrap; for each egg, cut a rectangular piece of wrap (approximately 15x15 cm).
Step 2
Lay the plastic wrap on a cutting board and brush it with olive oil. Place it in a small bowl, and crack an egg into the center (you can season with salt if desired, or leave it up to the diner at the table).
Step 3
Gather the ends of the plastic wrap together, tie a knot or secure with string.
Step 4
In a pot, bring water to a boil, then reduce the heat and gently lower the bags with the eggs into the water. Cook for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired consistency.
Step 5
Remove the pouches with the cooked eggs from the water, carefully peel off the plastic wrap, and place the poached eggs on a plate.
