Description

Over time, I felt that the soaking syrup was a bit lacking, so now I add 3/4 cup of water and 0.5 cup of sugar to the syrup and heat it all together until it's almost boiling (the sugar should dissolve). The layers are fully soaked, even becoming wet. My guests and family devour this instantly.

Ingredients

  • Butter - 4.4 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
  • Sugar - 5.3 oz
  • Vanilla salt - 0 oz
  • Vinegar essence - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon - 2 pieces
  • Activated Baking Soda - a pinch
  • Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

The batter for the layers is whipped with a mixer sequentially. Whip the eggs with the mixer for 1 minute.

Step 2

Add 75 g of butter, 150 g of sugar, and vanilla, and whip for 2 minutes.

Step 3

Add 130 g of flour and baking soda, quenched with vinegar, and whip for 3 minutes.

Step 4

Pour into a mold and bake at 392°F for 25 minutes.

Step 5

Cut the finished layer in half lengthwise.

Step 6

For the soaking syrup, place the juice of one lemon, 3 teaspoons of sugar, 50 g of butter, and 0.5 teaspoons of cinnamon in a saucepan and heat for 5 minutes over high heat.

Step 7

Next, slice the second lemon into very thin rounds and place them on one layer, pour the syrup over it, and cover with the second layer.
