Popovers with Lemon and Black Pepper
Ingredients
- Milk - 6 fl oz
- Water - 2 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Butter - 0.5 oz
- Citrus Zest Mix - 0.2 oz
- Wheat Flour - 3.2 oz
- Salt - 0.1 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - 0.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 374°F. Grease the popover pans with butter.
Step 2
In a bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, zest, and water. Then gently fold in the softened butter. Add 90 g of flour, salt, and pepper. Mix the batter well.
Step 3
Pour the batter into the prepared pans and sprinkle black pepper on top. Bake for about 40 minutes until the popovers rise and become golden brown. Make a slit on top of each popover and bake for another 5 minutes.
