Ingredients

  • Sugar - 1.8 oz
  • Butter - 3.5 oz
  • Whole egg - 5 pieces
  • Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
  • Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Cottage cheese - 21.2 oz
  • Egg white - 6 pieces
  • Apple - 2 pieces
  • Poppy seed paste - 3.5 oz
  • Semolina - 3 tablespoons
  • Condensed Milk - 7.1 oz
  • Starch film - 2 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

For the base, mix melted butter, sugar, egg yolk, baking powder, and flour, place in a mold (I didn't make the sides) and put in the refrigerator.

Step 2

For the poppy layer, grate the apples on a fine grater, beat 2 yolks with sugar and semolina, add poppy seeds and apples. Whip all 6 egg whites until peaks form, gently fold half into the poppy filling, and pour over the base.

Step 3

For the cottage cheese layer, mix 3 yolks with condensed milk and cottage cheese (if the cottage cheese is lumpy, blend it), add starch and gently fold in the remaining whipped egg whites. Optionally, you can add vanilla. Pour the mixture over the poppy layer.

Step 4

Bake in the oven at 170°C (340°F) for 60-70 minutes covered with foil.

Step 5

You can top with any glaze/cream, or leave it as is, serve chilled.
