  • Poppy seed paste - 2.6 oz
  • Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
  • Egg white - 1 piece
  • Milk - 0 fl oz
  • Sugar - 3.5 oz
  • Whole egg - 1 piece
  • Raisins - 3.5 oz
  • Boiling water - 8 fl oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Rinse the poppy seeds and soak them in boiling water.

Step 2

Rinse the raisins and soak them.

Step 3

Whip the egg white with sugar.

Step 4

Add the poppy seeds and mix well.

Step 5

Roll out or stretch the dough by hand to form a thin layer.

Step 6

Spread the mixture over the dough, sprinkle with raisins, and roll it up.

Step 7

Cut into small buns with a knife and let them rest for a while.

Step 8

Brush with the egg yolk mixed with milk for a golden color.

Step 9

Preheat the oven to 392°F, place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake for 15-20 minutes.
