Description
The simplest recipe where poppy seeds significantly influence both the appearance and taste of the cookies. Note: the dough should be refrigerated for at least 15 minutes.

- Sugar - 4.2 oz
- Margarine - 10.6 oz
- Wheat Flour - 11.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Poppy seed paste - 1.8 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
- Vanilla salt - 0.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
First, prepare the dough. To do this, cream the softened margarine with 120 g of sugar. Add the egg and gradually incorporate the flour into the mixture, kneading the dough. The finished dough should not stick to your hands. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Step 2
For the filling, mix the poppy seeds, 2 tablespoons of sugar, vanilla, and vegetable oil (sunflower oil can be used).
Step 3
Remove the dough from the refrigerator, divide it into two equal parts, and roll each part into a sheet 0.5 cm thick. Spread the filling evenly over the sheets, roll them up, and cut into pieces about 1.5 cm thick. Place the cookies on a baking sheet greased with butter (you can line it with parchment paper) and bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes at 374°F.
