Potato Pirozhki
Ingredients
- Baking Powder - 1 piece
- Kefir - 17 fl oz
- Chicken Eggs - 2 pieces
- Sour Cream - 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable Oil - 13 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - 2 teaspoons
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Potatoes - 4 lbs
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the flour with baking powder, salt, and sugar, then add kefir, eggs, sour cream, and oil.
Step 10
Use flour during the process to prevent the dough from sticking to the table and your hands.
Step 11
Place a tablespoon of filling on each piece of dough and then pinch it closed.
Step 12
Turn them seam side down and gently roll with a rolling pin.

Fry the thin pirozhki in hot sunflower oil.
Step 14
Drain the finished pirozhki on a paper towel.

Add more flour until a soft dough is formed.
Step 3
Lightly dust with flour and let it rest for 30 minutes under a bowl.

Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Boil the potatoes in salted water.

Mash the potatoes until smooth.
Step 6
Sauté the onions in a small amount of sunflower oil or in a multicooker.
Step 7
Add the sautéed onions to the mashed potatoes.
Step 8
Mix the filling and add ground pepper.
Step 9
Cut the dough into 3 logs. Cut the logs into equal pieces.
