Description
Profiteroles with cream cheese filling
Ingredients
- Water - 7 fl oz
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Wheat Flour - 5.3 oz
- Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
- Almette Cream Cheese - 5.3 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 2.5 oz
- 10% cream - 3 fl oz
- Vanilla Pod - 1 piece
- Sugar - 0.2 oz
- Salt - 0.2 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, heat water, then add salt, sugar, and butter.
Step 2
Wait for the moment when the butter has melted and the water is boiling, then add the sifted flour. Quickly stir the mixture with a wooden spoon until it reaches a smooth, lump-free texture. The dough should pull away from the sides of the saucepan.
Step 3
Then, one by one, crack the eggs into the dough using the same spoon. The dough should become smooth and elastic.
Step 4
Transfer the dough to a piping bag and carefully pipe small balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 356°F for 15-20 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
Step 5
In a mixer, whip the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla seeds. Then, gently fold in the cream cheese.
Step 6
Cut the finished profiteroles in half, place cream on the bottom half, and cover with the top half. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
