Description
This is a true Provençal recipe that uses a special goat cheese, which may be difficult to find here, so the recipe has been adapted to more commonly available types of cheese. Instead of ham, you can use prosciutto, as long as the meat is sliced very thinly. Lavender honey can theoretically be replaced with any liquid floral or wildflower honey, but it is still tastier with lavender.
Ingredients
- Ciabatta - 4 pieces
- Fig - 2 pieces
- Ham - 2 slices
- Goat cheese - 1.8 oz
- Camembert cheese - 2 pieces
- Linden Honey - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Slice the ciabatta rolls in half lengthwise.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 3
Rinse the figs and cut them into 4 pieces lengthwise, then bake for no more than 10 minutes in the oven.
Step 4
You can also place the halved ciabatta rolls in the oven for 5 minutes to make them crispy.
Step 5
Spread soft goat cheese on half of the rolls.
Step 6
On the other half, place pieces of camembert cheese cut to roughly the size of the ciabatta.
Step 7
Then, place slices of ham on both variations of the rolls.
Step 8
Top with the quartered baked figs.
Step 9
Drizzle with lavender honey and serve.
